Keeping the Grateful Train Moving… 🚎

My Favorite Part About Nature

The sky! Don’t get me wrong—I love the trees, too—but there’s something about the sky that captivates me. It’s the air, the sun, the clouds, the endless colors. It’s everything.

I love the way the breeze feels against my skin, the way each breath fills my lungs, refreshing and alive. The colors of the sky at sunrise and sunset, the way the light filters through the clouds—it’s all breathtaking.

It’s a God thing for sure. 🌤️✨

Something That Made Me Laugh Today

I couldn’t help but laugh watching my dad’s huge German Shepherd protect his toys from my tiny little pug-terrier pup. He took his ball away from her—even though she only walked by it and had no interest in it at all! Then, like a big baby, he hid the toy in his room and pouted.

It’s especially funny because people think German Shepherds are these big, scary dogs, but he’s a total softy. He only looks intimidating when we tell him to be!

Another thing that always makes me laugh—and something I’m really grateful for—is any time I get together with my sister, Melissa, and her husband, Josh. We laugh hard. Maybe we just think we’re hilarious, but honestly? I’m pretty sure we are very amusing!

They say laughter is the best medicine, and I always feel better after a good laugh. I’m grateful for every moment of it!

My Favorite Area in My Home

I love my whole house—it’s beautiful. But if I had to choose a favorite spot, the place I’m most grateful for, it would be my bedroom.

Honestly, I’m a little surprised to say that because I’ve always dreamed of having a perfect outdoor space to sit and write or a cozy office filled with candles. Normally, being outside to write is my thing. But as it turns out, my bedroom has become that cozy retreat. I have a super comfortable chair, lovely décor, and the lighting is just right—whether it’s day or night. It’s the perfect place to relax, be creative, and unwind.

That said, I can’t really work in there at night, so I still need a better workspace that works anytime, day or night. But for now, I’m very thankful for my bedroom and the peace it brings me.

A Book I Love to Read

I have so many books that I’ve truly enjoyed reading! I’m a bit of a dork—I read all the Harry Potter books and loved them. I enjoy fantasy books, like The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, which I really liked. I also read Wicked and Son of a Witch—weird books, but still good! I’ve seen the play Wicked about four times, and it’s absolutely awesome!

Some classics I’ve read and loved include To Kill a Mockingbird, The Pigman, Little Women, and The Great Gatsby—of course. I think I need to re-read a few of these! I also read The Twilight Saga and The Hunger Games series… I know, I know—but they were really good!

I can’t forget The Help, The Time Traveler’s Wife, The Princess Bride (THE BEST), The Notebook, and The Host—all amazing books!

Honestly, I don’t know if I can pick just one favorite. I’ve read so many different books, and each one has left an impression on me. I am so grateful for books—real books, with a cover, a spine, binding, and real pages to turn. I love the smell of them, the way they feel, the weight of a book in my hands.

Books create entire worlds inside my mind, like living a million lives and going on endless adventures—all from the safety of my living room. They stir emotions, shift perspectives, and inspire me in ways nothing else can.

There’s nothing like a cozy spot, a hot cup coffee in your favorite mug and a good book!

A freedom I am thankful for—the right to choose.
I breathe fresh air. I go where I want, when I want. I live in a great country, in a great state in America, and I have the freedom to worship the one true God.

Thank you, God, for the greatest blessing—the men and women who fight to protect us.

Happy Thanksgiving!🦃

May you all enjoy a very happy Thanksgiving, with people who you love, and care for. May we find a little bit of joy, happy and most of all… above everything some gratitude for this day, this life and these people we share our day with. Time is most precious. I pray you use your time making the best memories, spreading love, cheer, hope and joy. Laugh today, share today and be thankful.
