Pulled From the Lion’s Den
What a blessing the Lord has been to us.
Pulled apart. Lied to. Set up. Drained. And yet – we are still standing. Still here. Still together. 🩷
Yes, we are in recovery. Yes, there is shock that hasn’t worn off, wounds still tender, and healing still underway.
But I cannot deny it – God carried us through every second of it. Even when we didn’t know we were being carried.
Praise God!
What We Lost vs. What We Didn’t
“In all things God works for the good of those who love Him.” -Romans 8:28
We haven’t recovered the money. We can’t reclaim the time, the missed birthdays, the moments stolen that we will never get back. And that grief is real.
But I believe this too – God restores in ways we cannot predict. Sometimes what He returns looks nothing like what was lost… and somehow, it’s better than we imagined. 👏🏼
He is a God of miracles!
The Lifeline in the Den
“My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths…” – Daniel 6:22
Looking back, the greatest sign of God’s protection wasn’t rescue from the storm, but prevention from the destruction it almost brought.
There were so many moments we were pushed toward choices that would have:
cost more than we had left to give
tied us permanently to what was destroying us
pulled us irrevocably apart
And yet we never fully stepped into it. Every time we came close, something pulled us back. Quietly. Gently. Just enough to hesitate. Just enough not to sign. Not to agree. Not to seal our own hurt more deeply.
I used to think it was indecision. Now I know it was intervention.
God had His hand on the almost. He knew we were already wounded. He refused to let us be devoured.
Connected Even When We Were Apart
“A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” – Ecclesiastes 4:12
There were seasons we physically couldn’t be side by side, yet:
our thoughts would align without speaking
we would feel the same warnings at the same time
we would pull back in sync without planning it
A lifeline we couldn’t see was braided between us – keeping us connected to what mattered and shielded from what would take us out.
God was the thread holding us together.
The Undeniable Hand
“Be still and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10
Now that the dust is settling, it’s clear only God could have:
pulled us out of where we were
carried what was too heavy for us to lift
protected what we didn’t realize was exposed
orchestrated a way forward no human plan could have mapped
He makes His rescue unmistakable. And for that, I am deeply grateful. 🌈
A Warning, But Not Without Mercy
“Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness but rather expose them.” – Ephesians 5:11
This is why I speak openly.
Not for vengeance. Not to relive the wounds. But because deception thrives in silence.
To say plainly: If something feels wrong – don’t sign, don’t agree, don’t trust the slick tongue without digging deeper.
We were not the only ones caught up in the snare. Others are still navigating the wreckage of those same lies. My heart grieves for them.
But vengeance is not what I am after, only exposing the lie to keep others from what that same trap. I am leaving room for God to do the rest. His wrath will bring light in darkness in ways I never could.
I can point to the trap, but only God rights the wrongs.
Still Standing Because of Him
“The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer.” – Psalm 18:2
The enemy meant to ruin us. But the Lord refused to let it be our end.
I’m here to tell the truth. And I’m here to give God every ounce of the glory.
Because we survived not by strategy, not by money, not by strength, not by luck.
We are still here because of mercy. Because of protection. Because of a hand we couldn’t see saying: not them.
In every thread of rescue, every unseen boundary He placed, every moment we were held when we didn’t know we were falling – God was weaving something stronger.
This story is part of the tapestry. A warning. A testimony. A rescue song.
