Now, as we approach our 21st anniversary—wow, time really does fly! Funny enough, I’m actually terrible at remembering our anniversary, and he’s the one who always keeps track of it. Isn’t that nuts?
Rereading this, I teared up a little because, at the time, we were just starting to rebuild what had been torn apart. Life is like that. Marriage is both hard and beautiful. One of the greatest challenges we’ve faced has been the influence of other people. It’s so crucial to keep Jesus at the very center and at the top of our prayers, keeping our hearts aligned with Him. It’s easy to believe certain people have your best interests at heart. However, their own issues and selfish motives can wreak havoc. Discernment is a true gift from God, and it often rubs those who thrive on chaos the wrong way. Watch out for them—they will take you and your whole life down if you’re not careful. Every night, I pray for protection and wisdom and thank God for His watchful hands over me and my family.

Our Life Together
In the beginning, for some, it was fun,
But we knew better—our life had begun.
There were fights, and times got tight,
But we forgave and made things right.
People meddled, they had their say,
But thank God, we never strayed.
It wasn’t easy in the early years,
Yet we faced it all—through love and tears.
Oh, how I miss those simple days,
I think you’d agree in many ways.
We were just kids, learning as we grew,
Without our mistakes, where would we be, too?
It wasn’t long before we knew,
It was time to vow, forever true.
Exciting, scary—to be your wife,
A brand-new start, a brand-new life.
We built a home on love so strong,
Much steadier than where we came from.
Then came news to bring us joy—
Soon we’d welcome our baby boy!
How blessed we were, we thanked above,
For He had shown us a deeper love.
The years moved fast, new roles to play,
Yet sometimes, it felt like we’d drifted away.
No matter how hard I’d cry or run,
You always found me, never undone.
Through every trial, through every climb,
I feared one day we’d run out of time.
Yet side by side, we braved each storm,
The sun returned, the days grew warm.
More adventures, more memories made,
And then—a girl! Our world replays.
Jet-black hair and a fiery soul,
A perfect piece to make us whole.
We loved her just the same, no doubt,
Yet life had more to turn about.
Just as we thought we’d found our way,
We were pushed back, held at bay.
Still, we stood, refused to break,
For love like ours, none could shake.
Through highs and lows, joy and pain,
We kept our vows, we stayed the same.
Battles came, yet we held on,
Together, stronger—never gone.
Homes were bought and cars were sold,
Milestones marked, our story told.
Daily routines, goodnight kisses,
And endless searches for lost glasses!
Then, as if the winds had turned,
We left behind all that we’d learned.
Packed it up, hit the road,
One boy, one girl, two dogs in tow.
The past few years, we’ve traveled far,
Our love a compass, our guide, our star.
And now today, we celebrate,
Fifteen years, a love so great.
My dearest love, my truest friend,
My steady rock until the end.
Life is unknown, unsteady, unsure,
But with you beside me, I fear no more.
So here’s to us, my love, my light,
Let’s toast to forever—starting tonight!
