This was originally written in 2022 during a deeply personal moment of reflection and restoration. Revisiting it now, I felt called to renew its message with fresh clarity and purpose. Inspired by the Samaritan woman’s encounter with Jesus at the well, The Christ Encounter is a poetic reminder of the transforming power of God’s grace, the identity we find in Him, and the living water that never runs dry.
May these words refresh your spirit as they did mine.Skelly-

The Christ Encounter
Only in You is my significance restored—
In You, I am known, adored.
You bury my shame beneath mercy’s tide,
In Your arms, I am carried, I safely abide.
In You, I’m freed from the enemy’s lies,
Sacred and seen through Heaven’s eyes.
The enemy flees when I proclaim Your name—
I cling to truth; I speak Your name.
I worship You in morning’s light,
No fear of wandering from what’s right.
My hope, my name—found in the Lord,
Clothed in grace, I wield Your sword.
I thirst no more. You satisfy—
My Maker, my portion, the reason why.
You trade my darkness for radiant peace,
In You, the shadows always cease.
I am not lost in this broken world,
I am Your daughter—Your precious pearl.
Handcrafted, loved, and made to be
A living vessel of victory.
In this truth, I lift my eyes,
Renewed beneath forgiving skies.
You call me gift, You lift my soul,
Where once were wounds, now I am whole.
Let my spirit rise again each day,
Refreshed in You as I humbly pray.
No longer the same, I’m forever changed—
My soul restored, my heart rearranged.
Living water—so freely poured,
Fills every crack and every chord.
Even in weakness, I will shine—
A witness molded by design.
For today and all my days,
I’ll walk in love, in works, in praise.
For I am saved, I am sustained—
In You alone, forever changed.

A woman, a Samaritan, came to draw water. Jesus said, “Would you give me a drink of water?”
The Samaritan woman, taken aback, asked, “How come you, a Jew, are asking me, a Samaritan woman, for a drink?”
Jesus answered, “If you knew the generosity of God and who I am, you would be asking me for a drink, and I would give you fresh, living water.”
