The Fabric of Knowing God
Oh, to know You, Lord—
to walk in Your light,
to love with a heart broken
for all that breaks Yours,
to live in eternal life.
In His prayer to the Father,
Jesus spoke the truth of forever:
“Now this is eternal life—
that they may know You,
the only true God,
and Jesus Christ, whom You have sent.”
Not words alone,
not memorized lines,
but a love that breathes,
a relationship alive.
Oh, to know You, Lord—
to walk in Your light,
to love with a heart broken
for all that breaks Yours,
to live in eternal life.
For God is love,
and in His love, we are made new.
When the world presses in,
when shadows deceive,
it is knowledge of Him—
deep and steadfast—
that lifts us, guards us,
and keeps us from falling.
To cleanse the mind
from the dust of this world,
to be renewed by Jesus,
is to be remade
for His divine purpose.
A broken heart in His hands
is mended with mercy,
shaped for compassion,
and strengthened for truth.
Oh, to know You, Lord—
to walk in Your light,
to love with a heart broken
for all that breaks Yours,
to live in eternal life.
The importance of His love—
woven through time,
woven through space,
woven into the very fabric of who we are.
The pursuit of God
is not a fleeting flame,
but a lifelong journey:
step by step,
breath by breath,
faith enriched,
hope aligned,
hearts broken and healed
for His eternal design.
Oh, to know You, Lord—
to walk in Your light,
to love with a heart broken
for all that breaks Yours,
to live in eternal life.
Forever Yours,
Forever known.
