Every so often, I come across something I’ve written that speaks just as powerfully to me now as it did when I first put the words on paper. This letter is one of those pieces.
I wrote it during a time when I felt incredibly overwhelmed. I was being pulled in every direction. I struggled to find peace or clarity. But even in that whirlwind, God reminded me of my purpose: to glorify Him in all I do.
Today, I’m resharing this letter as a reminder for anyone who feels buried by responsibilities, fear, or expectations. There is freedom in letting go and remembering who holds it all.Skelly-

My Dearest Father,
I wholeheartedly acknowledge You as my Creator. You are the One who crafted me with the ability to bring glory unto Your name. Father God.
My life’s rigorous pace might feel like too much sometimes. Frequently, I find my purpose hidden in the chaos of the world. It is obscured by the relentless pressures and expectations around me. The fear of disappointing others weighs heavily upon me. It feels as if I am drowning some days. I am suffocating beneath the immense responsibilities I put on myself and the world puts on me. I am tethered to my work, family, and obligations and I get lost in it. I become overwhelmed.
Deep within my soul, I have discovered a profound truth through this madness. I have come to the understanding that my path to freedom lies in embracing the essence of a purpose-driven life. The life You have actually created for me. Not the one I think, or the world put on my shoulders.
When my every action seeks to glorify You in my work, the clouds of confusion dissipate. This happens through the responsibilities, the caretaking, and obligations with pure and humble gratitude to You.
Here is where I find peace in You. I can breathe deeply in You. I am filled with the certainty that all is well with my soul because of You. It’s all made clear because my faith is strong.
My purpose, Father, is to bring glory to You through everything I do. I know I will fail, but I will never give up. In every action, I aim to honor You. In that, I discover true freedom. Chained no more to the rigorous day-in and day-out of lies put upon me. I can see You, feel You, and am truly free from the darkness, and heaviness that once blinded me. I am blind no more. I’ve been made free.
Thank you, Lord. I am free.
With unwavering love and gratitude all my days,
Skelly 🤍-
This is not your home. Don’t get so attached. 🫶🏼
