Blind
I wonder if I’d melt your heart,
If I could only play my part.
But you don’t see me standing near,
Blind to all that’s kept me here.
You turn away, yet claim you’re lost,
As if our love’s a bridge we crossed.
The past still lingers, thick as smoke,
A scent that clings, a bond we broke.
I wait to breathe, to feel the light,
But you keep darkness locked in tight.
Don’t shut your eyes—don’t let us fade,
We’re worth the fight, the love we made.

I originally wrote this poem in early 2020. It was during a time when I was fighting for the things that mattered most—love, life, and everything in between. Writing has always been how I process my thoughts. Poetry became my true outlet for the emotions I struggled to voice. Through it, I found a way to express the depths of pain. I captured the flickers of hope. I also conveyed the weight of hopelessness. This poem was born from that battle—a reflection of longing, love, and the fight to be seen.
