The Giver
The greatest gift I could ever bestow
Is introducing you to the One who made your soul.
Come inside—take a seat, rest your feet.
Break this bread, lay down your head.
Step in from the storm, where it’s warm and dry,
New garments await, and a kiss on your brow nearby.
Whatever you need, my aim is true—
If you’re unwell, I’ll be the remedy for you.
Every story, I’ll read. Every hunger, I’ll feed.
If you’re tired and worn, I’ll be what you need.
On the days you’re weary beyond belief,
I’ll be your calm, your mercy, your relief.
If the dust of life has caked too thick,
Don’t hide—I’ll wash it off, soft and quick.
Take my hands when you’re able—
I’ll cross any distance to meet you at the table.
Through the long nights, I’ll hold you tight,
Staying by your side with all my might.
If my eyes could help you see the light,
Take them—make your darkness bright.
But most of all, please realize:
This love I give—let it crystallize.
It’s what I have, it’s what I share,
To help you journey with love and care.
Though I give with all I can do,
It pales in light of what God gives you.
When I fall short, may Grace extend—
And when you’re lost, may He guide again.
If this world’s cost leaves you astray,
Have faith—His love will light your way.
The ultimate Giver walks by your side,
Empowering givers with hearts open wide.
