Two decades, countless memories, and love that never fades. This is a refreshed version of a poem I wrote in 2020 for my husband—because even after all these years, he still takes care of me. 💫💖

Take Care of Me

I long to rest where I belong,
legs draped across your knee, soft and strong.
The world fades, its worries stray,
as your touch takes them all away.

No need for words, just you and me,
wrapped in love so effortlessly.
Time stands still, no weight to bear,
just quiet moments, breath and air.

Fingertips trace love’s refrain,
whispers melting past and pain.
You pull me close, your lips convey,

A wonderful and beautiful poem dear poet. We learn in life. Love is concern and kindness. We need a safe place to go do.
