Gratitude week Continues 💛

What a great idea! Print out a quote, one for each new week of the month! Mediate on that and watch things start to change for you! Then share with your family and friends! Encourage each other, see the joy in your life overflow!
Are you ready to take the challenge? Don’t just be thankful today! Keep your gratitude going all year round!
The simple things in life often bring us the biggest joys in life.

Thanksgiving Day 🍂

Today is Thanksgiving Day 2021. I am in Tennesse spending time with my parents. The town here is so peaceful and beautiful, a perfect backdrop for fall. The colors, the old barns and farm houses, the Christmas decor that line every road. It brings out the spirit of the holidays in me.

Oh, the country back roads… The fallen leaves that cover the roads and fill the ditches. As we drive through these country roads, it’s raining the colors of fall from the sky, as the autumn leaves come tumbling, fly, whirling down all around us. It’s a beautiful sight to be seen. Nothing puts you more in the mood for the holidays then the scenery here.

The storybook homes, the big old, red and white barns, the faded picket fenced farms, the dairy cows, horses and donkeys that graze on the grasses of tall brown, green, and gold. It’s a really beautiful place, with some good old fashion people, with good hearts. What a homey, cozy place to call your home.

Now let’s affirm those things we are thankful for! 💗

I am thankful for the givers. I did a devotion this morning with my good friend Katie K, that reminded me that although I have so many awesome things to be thankful for; I am ultimately most grateful for God! He who has given me life, my savior!

I have spent the last week sharing with you all the things in my life that have given me joy. The things that I am so very grateful for but I may have forgotten the most important apart of it all! What about admiration for the giver? The one who makes these joys possible?

May we not forget the people in our lives that give us companionship, love and care. The people who give us time and effort. The people who are there for us in our times of need, the hard times, the darker times in our life, the people who build us up and support us.

We can’t forget about the people who make us laugh, cheer us up and on! The people who we celebrate with and share our ordinary days with. We need to thank the heavens for these people!

We would have anything at all without the friends and family we have? I know there’s some no-good people in our life too. So, pray for toxic people to find their way out of your life and they will go away. In the meantime, praise God and be thankful for all the supportive, odd, funny, corky, lovely and inspiring people in your life! The givers make life worth it! And let’s be givers too… but hey… have limits! 😉

For this post I’m going to share a few pictures from the small gathering here in Tennesse! Enjoy!

Today was a relaxing day. It wasn’t to rushed or loud. It wasn’t over the top and overdone. It was simple, easy and perfectly done. This is how I like it. I know Christmas will be different for sure… much more of a production but this was nice and I am thankful it.

I am thankful for the time with my kids, my husband and my parents. We watched It’s a Wonderful Life, Elf and The Christmas Chronical 1 and 2… I hope they make a 3!

All in all, it was a good holiday! Now we prepared to get back on the road… the long… long road home. It’s a super long drive and I am not looking forward to it but I am looking forward to getting home! Once we’re home it’s all about Christmas time!! I am thankful to have a home to go to! I’m thankful it’s Texas! The best States ever! I am beyond thankful to be able to celebrate Christmas in our home… NOT MOVING! I can’t wait to decorate our tree and cozy up our home, full of Christmas decoration!

Then the baking will start! YAY! I can’t wait to bake cookies and breads (ones that I can eat) 🍪🍰🥧🥂Along with all the other celebrations, parades, gatherings, yummy treats, craft malls and fun games… and just being HOME! Thankful for it!

Thankful to celebrate God! The birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ! I was sent a nice email early today from a close blogger friend, with a sweet Bible verse.

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”‭‭Psalm‬ ‭100:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is such a sweet and gentle reminder for everyone, to give praise to the one who blessed you.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving Day! Continue to share your blessings and gratitude with the people around you! Acknowledging the the good things, the gifts! Doing this even on your hard days is what changes your mind. The power tower of your whole world. You are what your think… you are….

xoxo🤍
