Somedays you just need to hear that you’re gonna be ok…
As times goes on…and I go through the motions of our day to day life… I forget how thankful I should be. I’ll tend to hold my breath often. You could say I’ve been known to be tense person. I hold tension in my muscles, carrying it around with me everywhere I go. This tense, tight pain is caged in my chest all the time from worrying!
As parents, we all have some of this “tension” that we carry. It’s a never ending concern for our kids. Are we doing the right thing by them? I believe the fact that we’re concern at all, means we’re doing something right. Right? But, we also have to think about how to be a happy healthy person…Mommy and Daddy!
We need to choose ourselves occasionally
This means that I can’t sign them up for five different activities because I might lose my shit…really! Seriously, one activity pre kid is all I can handle. It could be, early bedtimes so we can have alone time for a few precious minutes…adult time…whatever. We move around more than normal so that we can provide a study income, protection and still allow our kids to have both parents in the home 90% of the time. It’s not always what your kids may “think” they want that’s best for them! Giving them a happy healthy parent is the better choice, in my opinion.
Now this parts on me, to stop worrying so much. This is my biggest and dirtiest flaw! We all have work and this right here is mine! I am the worst worrier ever!
Update on Minnesota:
We got an offer on our house in Minnesota. It’s bittersweet. We’re closing the book on a very important and profound part of our life. Now we continue the search for a place to call home right here in SoCal. It’s harder than I thought it would be. People are not as kind or as happy here. Not many people smile here and that bums me out! Although I love many things about being here, I know that I stick out like a sore thumb. Maybe I just feel like I do.
This is life…our life. I’m gonna to be Ok and this little family will be Ok. You’re be Ok too! God has our back. I’m runn’in on pure Faith.
